which is better of the 2 ??

my boyfriend has been on methadone for 11 years, and want to go off it.which is the better of two suboxone or subutex?can anybody help me in anyway please..

well way does he wanto switch and also he will have to be down to like 20-30mg methadone then be clena 24-48hrs before they can switch you to suboxone. That stuff can send u into awful w/d. I had friend that was on 50mg methadone and then thought suboxone better her so she went to 20mg and then only waited like 10hrs then took suboxone and she had to be put in hospital because the withdraws were so bad.
Subutex is alot like methadone so....

we live in new zealand, he was on 90mgs a day down to 42.5mgs this is he thrid time trying he doctor has told him ,when he down to 30mgs to go on suboxone , plus he takes diazapam  10mgs 4 times a day ,the system he is a big joke money making scheme they dont really want you off it

After 11 years on methadone you need to ask more questions than the one about sub - - What is your dose?  What was your plan for the sub?  There is a lot of information in the Health Pages on all of this.........and you need to learn a lot about the problem and it sounds like rather quickly......
