My dad is addicted to drugs

I know my dad is addicted to drugs. I've seen them in his car. He and my mom are divorced and I don't think she knows about it. He used to be an alcoholic but he got help and he overcame that and i was proud of him, but it turns out he has kept this a secret for a long time. I rememver seeing cans snuff in his car since i was seven and i didn't know what it was. I want to help him except I don't know how. What should I do?

Do you know what drugs he is taking? You should first tell him you love him then ask him to give you an honest answer. Then ask him if he is taking drugs. If you have a good relationship with him he may  ( or may not) come clean. Asking him may make him think. The only problem is if he doesn't want any help it isn't going to matter what you do for him. He has to want to get clean himself. You should check out Al-Anon and you will get a better insight into addiction the url is below:
