Major congrats on making it to day 8!!!

I'm sure you know the Big Book inside and out....but now that you are free of opiates.....re-reading it the words will come off the page and into your heart in yet another way.  The "Promises" will have even a deeper meaning.

So glad you made it thru the worst of the physical.....and now you can once again approach recovery but with a new set of glasses :)

Thank you all for  the positive support. I have been sober in AA for 34 years until I got hooked on these pills. I think I will stick with what I know for now

I just wanted to add my 2 sense in here....congragulations on day 8!!!  You are so doing the damn thing!  8 days is awesome.  Just a suggestion, I do N/A which I love and have loved since I started back in January.  To each his own, we have to find where we feel the most comfortable and will learn the most, so if A/A is it....do it!  But I can't stress enough how important some sort of aftercare program is!  We can't expect to just get the garbage from our bodies and be done with it....we altered the chemicals in our brain while doing that, so we need to hear things that help us to put the pieces back together, and N/A & A/A do that!!!!  Charge forward!

Good for YOU! Keep climbing up that Mountain and do not stumble backwards. Learning all you can about this Disease will keep you more intune with yourself. Aftercare is the Key to Recovery. You will learn all kinds of things to help you set up new Boundaries for Your New Life. Many Changes will be made and you will also feel some changes both physically and mentally. Just take things in little Steps as you will grow, grow & grow to Bigger Steps.
The detox is the easy part, and yes it suckks, but it is working on staying clean that takes the cake. You are doing just fine and keep moving forward.
Bless
