withdrawl from phentermine

Hi, can anyone tell me how long it will be before I get my normal energy level back? I have been taking phentermine on and off for almost 15 years, I have never needed it for weight loss only the amazing energy it gave me, I know it is a little late to decide they probably are doing my health no good at all but hey, better late than never. I have tried hundreds of times to stop taking them but the chronic fatigue I get keeps me going back.
I have not had phentermine for 4 weeks now and the fatigue is still the same, some days I make the descision to NOT drive as I don't feel alert enough.....
Any advise will be greatly appreciated...I seriously want to be free from these things.

Hi. Congrats on stopping the Phentermine. The withdrawal symptoms definitely include extreme fatigue. I am a nurse(36 yrs) in a family practice clinic and have seen long term amphetemine use affect thyroid function. You would be wise to go to your family physician and ask for a complete thyroid panel. If your thyroid is off it can add to the fatigue as well. God Bless and Good Luck!

I am not sure....i do know depression and fatigue are the probs people have after amphetamine detox...exercise will help...tyrosine is a good amino for energy..there is an article in my journal about things that can help after cocaine or amphetamine wd as they r similar in aftermath...after narcotics it took around 2 months for my energy to return...good luck..4 weeks is great!
