To diagnose adrenal issues, an ACTH stim test should be used as well as tests for ACTH, cortisol, renin, aldosterone, dhea sulfate, adrenal antibodies etc. More than one set of tests should be done (except the stim test for the most part) and the tests have to be done at the proper times to be diagnostic.
