Alcohol Withdrawal

Hi,
Was sober almost three years until last Feb. 3, 2008. All kinds of bad things went wrong on Feb. 2, 2008. I bought a half-gallon of rum, and started again. I did stop drinking again after a few weeks for about a month. I went back to meetings.

Been unemployed three and a half years, and was turned down for a very good job. Guess what? I've been drinking since!

I have no way to pay for rehab, so I have to go it alone. I know that if I take Valium 5mg for three to four days that I'll be able to withdraw. That was what they gave me while in rehab Sept. 2005.

Does anyone know of an online pharmacy where I could purchase these without prescription?

Please help!!

I wholeheartedly agree with ibizan. Detoxing can be a very dangerous thing to attempt on one's own.  We don't know the circumstances of your addiction or what else you may or may not be addicted to.
In the past i have been through many detox & rehabilitation programs for various substances and although i know what meds to use and have access to them , i would never attempt to detox without proper supervision. I also know that the urge to " Go It Alone " is very appealing to us addicts , for we are an independent lot as well as " Know it all's ". That's a couple of the reason's we find ourselves in the position's that we are in.
There are many things that can go wrong while detoxing , like high or low blood pressure , dt's , heart problems , etc
As ibizan said , there is funding for not only detox but for a follow up 2 to 4 week in or out patient program to teach you some coping skills to STAY sober during crushing events in your life , like not getting a job that you have put all your hopes on or a death in the family etc.
Of course , even these programs are not enough and you have to be ever vigilant of " The Beast " for he will devour you when your at your weakest. It is vital that you have some sort of support after completion of a comprehensive program.
I pray that you find the help you seek , Knock and the door shall be opened.......
