Narla,  You have legitimate pain and that is what the meds are for.  A plan was put into place for your hubby to hold the pills.  We are or will be at some point faced with this and you did the right thing.  Take care of yourself now so you get better.

Sassysissy.....Congrats on spending your 1st Christmas sober!!!  What a wonderful gift to give yourself~~~

Jacker........You have been an awesome addition to this community.  I have learned so much from you.  Thank you for being a part of my recovery.

ibizan and rod......What can i say.  I remember coming to this forum scared as he!! to post as i had been "lurking" for awhile.  I was so impressed with the support that was given.  It didnt take long to feel right at home here.  We have celebrated many successes here and held each other up during some very dark times when we lost boogieman.  Christmas isnt about the presents, its about the blessings in our lives, like all of you are to me~~~~~~sara

narla- u r wise to let ur hub control the meds,hope that pain subsides soon-jacker-i can see that boy now....u should get a video of him and youtube it for us..call it Chasing  Recovery!rod-scarlet has been dubbed the fainting goat for when i first got her she stood in a heavy rain then fell over like a fainting goat and lie on the ground like aaaahhhh this feels good!sissy-27 years ago i got out of inpatient at this time and it was my first sober holiday it was strange difficult but i persevered to be here today!

Merry Christmas to all,It's 8pm Christmas night here and I have made it through with no alcohol
I'm in a lot of pain due to sciatica and I am having to take codeine,I have handed over the tablets to my husband so he can make sure I don't abuse them,I have made myself accountable,it's all I can do at the moment,hopefully it won't take too long to get over it.

No Frisbee....he has one of those big rubber blue balls with a handle attached.  I kick it across the pasture and he chases it down.  Then he "worries it" and herds it around with his nose.  Hours of pleasure.  If I can get a good bounce out of it, he'll leap!  Merry Christmas!
