Incredibly Sick Post-Drinking Evening

Hi,

I'm a health 28y/o female and for about a year now I have had an incredibly negative symptom post drinking. I don't drink very much often (glass of wine or 2 at home on quiet nights), but when I have more than that I feel fine when I through the afternoon but become incredibly ill at about 6pm - 11pm. Vomiting and not being able to keep anything down at all. Is there someway to avoid this? Vitamins I can take for prevention? If not, is there a test that I can get to check that things are functioning correctly?
Thanks much.

Immediately after posting my comment, I decided that it was insensitive.  I'm sorry- sometimes I should restrain my thoughts and learn not to hit the send button.

Just see a Doctor and explain all the symptoms, including the exact amount that you are drinking when you have the problem.

I'd go to a doctor and get things checked.  Then again, more than two is past the recommended daily dose, so maybe it's simply a delayed hangover.

I just have a personal observation that sometimes makes me chuckle:.....You're not the first one who has come here to say that they are having trouble drinking like they used to, and want to know what they can do about it.  This is an Alcoholism forum- LOL!  I'm honestly not laughing at you, but it's just an amusing concept to see folks come here to figure out how they can continue drinking (even if it's in moderation).  Most of us are trying to stay stopped. Then again, if anyone would know I guess it would be an alcoholic.....many of us have had enough experience trying!

Okay, I'm probably the only one who finds this funny, so I'll be quiet now.  Go see the doctor and good luck!

I'm not a doctor but the possibility of an ulcer come to mind. Perhaps your body is rejecting the alcohol period. You can always stop drinking if that takes care of the issue. But if you wish to have a glass of wine now and again I would see your family doctor and tell him whats going on. Good luck to you.
