Sleeping alot after quitting drinking

I have most likely have drank a bottle of wine or more everynight for the past year. I decided 3 days ago enough is enough and I'm sick of wrecking my life and I need to stop. In this 3 days of soberiety I have been sleeping SOOOOOO much!!!!! I have never slept this much in my life. I would say I sleep for 12+ plus hours a day. When I am awake I drink tons of water and juice and can't stop eating. I wanted to know if this has happen to anyone else when they quit drinking?

3 days is just starting..you will most likely feel withdrawals by day 4...maybe not untill a week...have you been tested for hep c ?...i would think at the very least anxiety will kick in soon(and could be other symptoms)...thats when i see a lot of folks go back to drinking..the tired thing happens a lot..your body will need a few months or maybe even a year to get re adjusted to no alcohol...good luck.....billy

I believe it's safe to say that your body is taking over control of your past habit. It knows what you need...hydration and nutrition. Let it do it's wk and heal. Good 4 you that you took the big step of quitting I commend you and welcome you to this community! Keep up the good work 1 day at a time.....
