thanks

thanks to ibizan...walter....boogieman....and all the other folks that helped me understand alcoholism...i had awfull withdrawals..so bad i think its really something i made it through...i didn't find this forum untill i was 6 months into being sober...when i found the forum i was so glad to have help understanding my problem...anyway it took 2 years for me to beat most of the anxiety...looking back i would have gotten help...first i would have got a doc...well years went by and i stayed with the forum..touching base from time to time with my friends here, reading posts and trying to help out a little when i could...fast forward to what i'm getting to...4 days ago a friend of mine that was drinking bad almost lost it....she was drinking a quart of wisky a day...for just about 4 years....i could see her time was almost up...i looked at her face to face and told her how much her friends loved her and then told her that i was afraid for her health and her life....later that night she got the guns out..had had enough...we knew something was wrong so her sister in law and i went over to her house...anyway we conviced her to go to the emergency room...that was a an hour away... quite a scene....got her checked in...shes still there doing detox....i think in time she'll be fine and feel great in time but now not good at all...so thanks ibizan and all ....just wanted to let you know how far you can reach out and touch folks that you never get in contact....good luck to all of you....billy

This is the first forum I found when I was getting sober, and you and ibizan were there to respond to my first post on this forum back in Feb of 08.  Thank you for your help and support as well!
