Hello,
The topical antifungal creams are available over the counter and can be purchased without prescription. However if the symptoms persist or worsen then a dermatological evaluation is preferred.
Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
thanks a lot.
Can i use one of those creams without consulting a doctor???
i thanks a lot once again...
Hello,
The itching near the testicles can be due to fungal infections or tinea cruris. Wash your testicles daily and then dry thoroughly by pat drying, not rubbing. A hairdryer is useful if you have hairy testicles. The damp skin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply. Also wear cotton underwears and change them twice a day. and do not share other people’s towels.Application of local antifungal cream(terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment.
If even after treatment itching persists, then other possibilities like contact dermatitis, eczema, dermatitis, sweat dermatitis or heat rashes have to be ruled out.Pls consult a dermatologist then as without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough.
Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
