What is Hypertrophic Uncovertebral Hyperostosis in Relation to a Cervical MRI?

I had an MRI and was reading my report. I know that hypertrophy is arthritis, but I am not sure what "uncovertebral hyperostosis is? Does anyone here know? The report also said I have encroachment onto the corresponding left C4-5 and C5-6 neural foramina. Just looking for some insight.

I did a little research. I also have some trouble with my lumbar spine and some nerve dysfunction there. I also had a bone spur I didn't mention found on my cervical spine. On top of this, I had a bone spur removed from my shoulder. I found a disease called "Forestier Disease" or Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis (DISH). It seems to fit my issue to a T. Is anyone familiar with this in Rheumatology?

Yes, Tuckamore is great. I've just been really anxious about this pain and how fast things are degenerating for me. I've also been talking to the doctor in the expert forum. I will be having a new MRI and an injection coming up to see if things have gotten worse. By my symptoms, I would say they have. Also, I know the radiologist I am going to see has better equipment than the other one I saw almost 2 years ago. Thanks for your response.

I see you got an excellent answer in the pain management.  Sorry for the delay in response here but I don't think I could have given you any better info on it.  Good luck and if there is anything we can do to help you out on arthritis issues be sure to write.
