Limbrel Anyone??

I know that everyone is different, but I was just put on Limbrel 500mg. twice a day for osteoarthritis.  I have taken Celebrex for years, and about 5 months ago, it really stopped doing much.  I wondered if any of you take or have taken Limbrel.  How long does it take for full effect and can you take Motrin or Tylenol with it.  My doc says that I can take the Motrin in between the Celebrex wearing off and the Limbrel taking hold.  I just hope that this is the answer to some of my pain.  It is beginning to get in the way of my daily living and I am scared that if this gets worse, how will I function?  I am 58 years old and have just started to babysit my first grandchild in Sept.  As I write this, tears are welling up to think that I may have to give up watching her because of the pain.  Please let me know any info on this med.  Thanks, Linda

I'm not very familiar with that med, but txsilver, the Community Leader here should be back in another day or two and she's pretty knowledgable on the various medications and their effects.

Physical therapy is good for OA. You don't mention where you have it?
And, if you haven't had a chance, take a look at this Health Page http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Arthritis/Managing-Chores-with-Arthritis-Chronic-Pain/show/559?cid=107
It's got some great tips from Mayo Clinic about managing "chores" with chronic pain. I use a lot of them for all my day to day anythings, including raising my 3 yr old grand-daughter.

Hi, I took Limbrel for a few weeks and didn't notice anything.  However, I have back and neck issues too.  But I was surprised it didn't help my knees.

I know how you feel.  I have fibro too, I'm 52, and my active life is gone.
