mid back pain at night

I have recently been experiencing significant mid back pain that worsens at noc. Im 42 yo w f with a hist of GERD.
The pain is near my left scapula and will extend over to the right back and around under the left anterior 12 floating rib. This pain subsides once Im up and moving around. But it wakes me at 2-3-4 am. I am under a tremendous amt of stress as my daughter(4yo) has been dx'd with an autoimmune desease. My worrying and stress has induced a telogen effluvium ( my hair is falling out). My primary care physician has ordered all the hair loss labs as well as pancreatic workup, cxr, tspine which I get tomorrow.
I am scared because they say ( the web) that back pain that is worse at night is probably some kind of malignancy. I am very scared. I dont need this right now.
maybe it is my stomach ulcer acting up again. Maybe Ill know more when my labs and xrays come back.
I wish this nightmare would go away

Put all cotton blankets under your all cotton sheets, and use all cotton blankets on top of you too. Just trust me on this if you can. And let me know if you sleep better and have much less pain.

I had this exact problem and I got a 7" wedge and now sleep with my pillow at the top of that and I have no problems at all. My back was over-extending at night and I would wake up in the middle of the night with a sore back. The wedge keeps me from over arching and how I don't overextend and I sleep great each night!!!! Good luck I know this is a terrible condition that robs you of your sleep. Please let me know if this helps.

Bless your heart, you do have a lot going on.  Try to break it down into smaller bits and, if you can, try to stay away from the web.  If you read the web too much you will scare yourself silly - I know because I did it to myself :)  When are your labs due back?  Is your doctor investigating something specific or running broad tests?  What has your daughter been dx'd with?
