Psoriatic Arthritis

Hi I'm 26 years old and Have had Psoriasis for a 3 years. I've been waking in the morning the last few months with my fingers and thumb hurting really bad like I slept on them now it is in both hands. I'm having trouble getting anyone at my Dermatology clinic to talk to me or make an appointment (military health care) Could this be Psoriatic Arthritis. what other things can cause joint pain in a health 26 year old female.

hey Casey did you ever find out what was going on with you? I have psoriatic arthritis and I would be happy to talk to you about it if you need to. I see you posted quite a while ago about this so I'm not going to write too much in case you arent on this forum anymore, If you are post back and we can talk about it if you like. Have a great day.

My neighbor has Psoriasis very bad and also suffers from Psoriatic Arthritis she has joint pain in several of her joint but it started in her hands the worse.  Her skin has gotten worse also.  Her dr. put her on some pretty strong meds she is in her 30's and he told her if they didnt control it, she would be in rough shape.  She works with a dermatologist and a rheumatologist.  I would suggest an appt. with a rheumatologist if the dermatologist is unwilling to listen.  I would think it would be better to get a diagnosis before it gets to severe.  Is your psoriasis bad also right now?  I was also just diagnosed with inflamatory arthritis.  I often wake up with my hands numb.  The rheumatologist just injected my wrists and knee because they were the worst and put me on some new meds and my hands have been better.  I really thing you should try to get in soon with a rheumatologist because Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis go hand in hand.  Good luck, hope you find some answers.
