Hi Ketot,

Welcome to our Arthritis Community. I'm delighted you found us and took the time to post your question.

As most of us know Humira (adalimumab) reduces the effects of a substance in the body that can cause inflammation.

Common Humira side effects may include: headache; nausea;
cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sinus pain, sneezing, sore throat;
rash; or redness, bruising, ITCHING, or swelling where the injection was given.

So what you are experiencing is not unusual - however I think you should give your MD a call as Sherry also suggested. He/she needs to know about your reaction. It may be harmless - but your MD needs to document this and make a decision if this is a "let's watch" situation or "let's discontinue".

Please notify your MD. I hope you'll let us know what you discover. And as always I wish you the best. Thanks for your question.

Take Care,
~Tuck

Hi Ketot.  :)

First, let me tell you how glad I am that you have found our Arthritis Community.  I want to be sure you understand that the are no Doctor's on this Community.  We are all either Arthritis sufferers, such as you or CP  (Chronic Pain) patients.  :)

I'm so sorry that you are experiencing this itching.  As I said, I'm not a Doctor, but it definitely sounds as if you are having a reaction to the Humira.  I don't take it, but I looked it up and it has numerous side-effects and I know from experience that if you start a new medicine and it causes itching of any type you need to contact your Doctor and advise him what's going on. DON'T stop your meds unless he/she tells you to.

PLEASE call him/her now.  I'll.be.looking for your update.     ...........          Sherry    :)
