Scared about new Diagnosis

Hi!!!  Wondering about having Lupus, RA and Sjorens together.  I have a ANA 1:640 (homog) (+) RA factor, (+) Sjorgen...but only one of them SSA.  My C3 is high, too.  I look fine...as per my "old" rheumatologist...but, I get joint swelling/pain in my hands and fingers on/off.  My hand x-rays from 2007 show periarticular osteopenia...I having new ones this week.  My face has "red cheeks" ALWAYS...and I have a rash of very tiny red dots all over my body, I'm very fair skinned.  I'm having a "boat load" of blood work done today to try to pinpoint the problem...which I know is hard to do.  And, I also have slightly  elevated thyroid antibodies...that's me in a nut shell.  My question is....can I be having hot flashes from any of this Autoimmune Stuff???  I'm in menopause...I had a total hysterectomy at 32, I'm now 42.  And, I still get hot flashes, anytime...day or night...winter or summer.  It's awful!!!  I'm on Plaquenil, just started this week...I'm at a new GOOD Rheaumatologist...who's taking these symptoms seriously.  I'm also on Inderal LA 60mg, Mirapex (for Restless Leg Syndrome) and Synthroid (for hypothyroidism).  So my question is about the hot flashes and can I have 3 autoimmune diseases at once...LUPUS /RA/SJORGEN together???  Thanks, Jen/NJ

You need to be seen by a rheumatologist to rule out anything that can cause deterioriation in the joints or damage to other organs.  If nothing shows up do continue to have tests and ask them to look into fibromyalgia.

Hello,
I have Hashimotos disease and chiari malformation. I have been having symptoms that I think are another autoimmune disorder but I'm trying to figure out what it could be. I am having problems with my joints. It's not a painful problem but more of a problem like my fingers do not work as well, they feel swollen and fingers tend to lock up. I also get problems around my ankles, my feet feel like they don't move correctly. I've been noticing lately that I have dark buises or discoloration on some of my joint areas. They are on each knee in the same location and also on each ankle in the same location. I also have this on my elbows, which I have had for awhile but haven't paid much attention to it there.  I'm wondering what this could mean to have this discoloration on these joints. I have always had clicking in my knee joints for many years and off and on pain.
thanks
erica
