bone ache

i started experiencing leg pain/ache at about 7/8 years old. im now 20 and rarely a fortnight goes by where i dont experience it. itll often start in one place like my ankle and if i dont take a parecetamol it will spread up my leg and get worse and worse until i take one. once iv taken a paracetamol the pain will go away within the hour and wont return till the next day or longer. lately iv been getting it in my wrists and forearms aswell. to me it feels like its in the bone not muscle. its a dull pain but can be excruciating if left too long. sometimes heat helps a bit as does massaging my feet. the pain is still there but bearable. im female, have had 2 children.

I have been dealing with the same exact pain that you are experiencing since I was about 4 years old, I am now 29.  It is usually in my thighs and hips and like yours, it feels like it is a bone ache rather than something to do with muscles.  It would always happen at night when I was a child, I would wake up screaming in pain, my mom would give my tylenol and use a heating pad and that always seemed to help it....if it got really bad I would take a really hot bath too.  The dr's always told my mom it was growing pains and possible overuse.  I always have to keep some sort of anti-imflammatory with me b/c it happens on a daily basis and has only worsened through the years.  I seem to get it if I walk to much or sit too much and it hurts so bad.  It never just goes away on it's own, I always have to take something for it and my heating pad is literally my bestfriend!  I just don't understand how after all these years I still have this problem and the fact that it is getting worse scares me.  I hope someone one here can shed some light as to what it could possibly be.  None of my friends or family ever understood, they always thought it was just a charlie horse in my leg or hip but it feels nothing like that.  It is such a deep ache and it does feel like it is in my bones.  Keep me updated, it's nice to know that someone else has experienced the same pain as I have since such an early age!
