lower back and hip pain

can RA start in your lower back and hips before it can be seen in your hands and feet??

I am so glad to read you were able to pursue this further.  I hope the results are conclusive - one way or the other.  At the very least, I hope you find out which direction you'll be going in next.  Fingers are crossed!

yes my numbers for the special antibody blood test were off the charts! he said he would never re-check me because i dont have the disfiguring off the hands and feet which is rediculous. That is why Im waiting for the results of the bone and joint scan to confirm what he doesnt want to treat!
Thanks for concern and pray the results come out in my favor, been suffering too long!

Am I missing something?  The Rheumy said you have RA and isn't treating you for it?

sorry so long before talking to you but I had the scan done and i go to DR tomorrow to find out the results!!!!!!!!! hope this is the answer I was looking for

I believe your primary doc can order it, but I am not sure if that will impact whether or not insurance will cover it.  Might want to give them a call and investigate that.  If the rheumy is not working out, what about seeing an internist?
