thanks for taking the time to read my question, well I am now 59 and got this painful conditions in my early 40's, I have struggled through the years working and giving up then working again and again giving up, now I am home feeling really down in the dumps, I drink to numb the pain everynight, which is not helping the situation I am seperated and living alone, so I am looking for anyone to chat with and make me feel better,does anyone out there willing to be my friend to chat with?

it is so nice to find people suffering the same as me......I feel so frustrated at times, had to give up my full time work and change my lifestyle which has been a big challenge for me. thanks for the support my friend.

I am glad you found us!  There are many here, myself included, who suffer as you do either constantly or when we move in and out of flares.  
It can be very overwhelming and it is nice to talk to people who understand.  You can post here any time, you are among friends.

Thanks for the message, its nice to know there are other people out there suffering the same pain, I have had to change my whole lifestyle due to this cripping chronic compliant.   I have RH arthritis in my hands wrists, hips, knees, feet and shoulders, so you can imagine I shuffle along, cant walk very far and ache if I stand too long, I live alone and struggle to do just normal chores, I dont qualify for home help because in NZ you have to be 65 and over.. my outlook on life is pretty grim, my family live with their partners and have busy lives to spend much time with me, I feel so alone and need to talk about my thoughts and feelings.

Absolutely, Maureen, I am around here quite often, and I know how you feel.  I am married, but my husband is not the talkative type, so I will be glad to chat with you anytime.  Where is your arthritis?

I have osteoarthritis in my knees, a little in my hands, and fibromyalgia.  I hate it, and it's ruining my life.  I don't seem to be getting much help from the doctors either.
