Hello, I'm a 45 year old man, in pretty good shape. Workout every other day 5'11" 185lbs. History of seasonal allergies and sinsus problems. No history of Asthma. In November 2015, I had a really bad allergic reaction to a coworkers perfume and had a very difficult time recovering from it. In February 2016, my doctor prescribed Advair 250/50, once a day and Singulair 10mg at bedtime. Since I've been taking the medication, I have experienced upper respiratory tract infections, sinus infections, rash (bumps on chest and shoulders), blurred vision and extreme hoarseness. My voice was limited to a slight wisper smh. I actually went for an eye exam in July 2016 because I couldn't really see signs when driving during the day or night. I also couldn't see while reading. Everything was blurry/fuzzy. I ended up getting glasses (bifocals). On Sunday November 6,2016 I realized I wasn't getting any better and could barely breathe. I had 2 rounds of prednisone over the last 2 weeks, which didn't help at all. On November 6, 2016 I decided to take myself off of Advair and Singulair. My voice came back completely in 2 days. By Thursday November 10, 2016 I could no longer see with my glasses on because the vision was blurred and fuzzy. I finally decided to take them off while on the computer at work and to my amazement, I could see clearly without them. I drove home during the day and could see clearly and went back out at night and could still see clearly. I honestly can't believe that Advair and/or Singulair made me have vision problems for months, along with the other side effects. I am now just using my Albuteral Inhaler and Nebulizer, but only as needed; which is barely. Today is Saturday November 12, 2016 and I feel great and can see just fine. Advair and Singulair just didn't work for me, but may work for others.
