The anulom vilom pranayam will help to control the asthma, and the need for medication will decrease.Drink warm water(no cold drinks). The small  print: you have to devote sometime to help the body to build a stronger immune system and keep doing the pranayam daily.
Do it for 30 minutes twice a day, and you will not feel the need for medication, after about 12 weeks. After this point point, continue the anulom vilom for once a day, to stay in remission. The choice is yours.
I would like your feedback, in 21days, then  6weeks and 14 weeks, so others may benefit.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Anulom Vilom –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two middle fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 15 to 30  minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed. Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.
While doing anulom vilom, keep your eyes closed, concentrate on the third eye (point in between the eyebrows).

When you have built up your timing to more than 15 minutes, you will start to notice the benefits.
Continue the anulom vilom pranayam for 15 minutes daily, for life, to stay healthy.
You are young and will feel the benefit sooner than older people.Try it with a positive attitude, and do not give up

Sorry, but asthma is not curable.  Some people who experience childhood asthma can go into remission for a period of time, but 50% of them have their asthma return as an adult.

The best thing you can do to control your asthma is limit your exposure to dust and any other allergies you have - dust and vacuum/sweep regularly.

It is never fun to have to take medicine, but you can be thankful that you only take one.  Many people have to take five or more to control their asthma and still have big issues controlling it.

there is no cure for asthma now sometimes in can get better own it's on but that is usually because you grow out of it or it kinda goes dormant i think but as far as medicines the only thing they will help you do is control it better
