Not sure if this is the right area to ask this but wasn't sure what other area could be linked to what I have.
When I was younger I did a lot of sports and competitions mainly swimming and rugby and I used to get anxiety, which I know is normal, before each competition or match. This usually made me gag or throw up. Since then that's just how it's always been then I started to have the same thing but every morning before school, again very likely to be linked to anxiety. Since then I have become a smoker for around 3 and a half years, and If I smoke inside or even if I'm not smoking I don't get the urge to cough or gag, but when I go outside, whether I'm smoking or not, the coughing and gagging starts and have to spit as a lot of saliva is obviously produced. I'm not sure what the cause of this is as my mum thinks it's just a typical smokers cough but I don't get it when I'm inside, unless I've just come in from being outside.
I understand this may be a hard question to answer but any suggestions as to what it could be be be greatly appreciated, thank you.
