I have a friend who once mentioned to me in conversation something I didn't further discuss with them, because I wasn't sure of what it was, but I probably should have clarified. My friend said, "I am high functioning with no guardian." My thoughts first went to possibly that he meant he had a form of Autism; Asperger's, but I wasn't sure. This person has had issues regarding their back as well, (injury) so I thought Maybe it was related to that, but I went back to my original thought and hunch and I am just wondering- does 'high functioning' with 'no guardian' typically refer to a person with Asperger's syndrome? Thank you for your help as I was just thinking of this topic he had brought up- I do appreciate any feedback.
