i am not sure what my neighbor's 5 year old son has but it worries me. when he was smaller he was a typical kid and born free of illness, now he blinks rapid and often (not a normal blink), he makes a clicking noise with his throat (not like he's trying to clear it ), he is also forgetting how to count to 10, the difference between english and spanish and he'll get on his hands and knees kick his legs back then come to a kneeling position and then start rocking he'll do that like three times. He's seen a neurologist which have done studies to his brain waves they dont see anything real abnormal but a few stronger brain waves in some areas the doctor said his issues will go away eventually. can you shed some light to what this might be?

The part you mentioned about the doctor claiming it will go away eventually is what brings Tardive dyskinesia to my mind. If you look on the treatments part, they mention some treatments out for it, but from what I see it looks like a shot in the dark hoping to reverse long term damage that a previous drug did to the brain.

Hmm doesn't sound like autism to me, but you can check here:

The rapid blinks to me sound like they are something else that causes tics, like tourettes or seizures.

Ask your neighbors if he is on any meds. One thing I have against certain meds is the risk for Tardive dyskinesia. It's a perminant condition that is a result of certain meds.
