possible autism in 6yr old

My daughter has a dx of global developmental delay but I think it's more then that. I have a son with a dx of pdd-nos also but since the are questioning that dx I don't know what to think anymore. She is fuctioning at a two to three yr age level all around. She does count to 10 and knows most of her abc. She has seen a develpmental specialist but  no phyciatrist. She spins constinalty, sticks to one subject of choice, poor eye contact, self abusive, temeper tantrums in public, licks everything, chews on everything expecialy clothes and hands, inapropertly touches adults, very hyper but tested acording to teachers with no adhd, very sensory seeking, could swing for hours, extrodanry memerory and repets conversations from long time ago, won't step on cracks or lines for no apperarent reason, take everything litterly, wasn't potty trained until age 4, no since of danger, high pain tollerance, obsessed with death, always smiling,  has no friends own age and refuses to talk to anyone her age, talks baby talk when asked question. Has seen genetist for disphormic features but found only a dupliction the me and her brother also have and they say it's not problematic. I just want to see if anyone has any ideas. thanks

Ask to see an autism specialist.  It kinda sounds like autism and sensory integration processing disorder.
My son has a little bit of both, so it sounds very familiar.
The preoccupation with death though sounds like depression.  She needs to see an autism specialist an occupation therapist for the sensory disorder and maybe a psychiatrist to see if there is any depression.
My son had the develpmental delay too.

I am trying to do this. She is in the dana program through Mayo clinic but they keep passing her off to genetics and not to the psycologist. I have to drive quite a ways to get her there but they keep sending me to the wrong people I feel. I don't know what else I should do when they keep telling me nothing.

Wow, sounds like you have your hands full. You didn't say how old your daughter is. Autism does run in families, so if your son does have autism it is very possible that your daughter could be on the spectrum as well. I would reccomend the same thing for both children, a child psychologist or pediatric neurologist. Preferably one who specializes in autism.
