Many people are sick today because of what they put in their bodies. Things like mercury, lead, arsenic, hydrogenated oils, transfats, artificial sweetners, high fructose corn syrup and any number of preservatives that have been created are making us very sick. There are many studies linking heavy metals such as mercury to neurological diseases. It is a well known fact that the population is becoming over weight and this is directly related to diabetes, heart disease and many other diseases. The only chance we have to get healthy is through the food we eat. When we get sick we must make a choice. Go to the doctor and get some drugs which often have severe side effects or you can chose to follow a healthy life style by eating the proper foods. Why not give a healthy diet a try. It cost less and I haven't heard of any side effect to eating raw fruits and vegetables. Hippocrates the father of western medicine stated, "Let the food be your medicine and the medicine be your food". The ancient Greeks knew what it took for good health. The body can repair itself if you give it the vitamins and minerals which are found in the raw fruits and vegetables. Being sick is real and it is not all in your head. That is what the doctors tell you when they can't find out what is wrong. They told me it was just old age and I would have to learn to live with it. You do not have to live with it. Some people never figure it out and that is sad. Your health is dependent on the choices you make so choose wisely. Diet can heal and there is evidence that people who lose weigh can reverse type 2 diabete and heart disease. Many do not want to hear this because they do not want to change. That is their choice but the evidence suggest diet is the key to health problems.
If you have MS or other neurological problems you might want to consider diet as a method of healing. Dr. Swank has a web site to help people with MS through diet. There is also the Paleo diet which has shown suggest in treating neurological diseases. There is evidence showing that diet can effect these diseases. Google this on line and you may find some information which can help you.
Thank you so much for this information, I was Dx with Raynauds about 17 yrs ago. Also at that time the Army Dr's did mention at that time I could possibly have MS, but they did not persue it nor did I. The RLS was Dx in 2002 nothing was addressed as far as MS.lately i have noticed that the RLS is attacking the arms and upper body if I sit to long. I had surgery on my rt hand in 2007 and the CRPS developed. When I went in for a 2nd epidural nerve block in Sept the Dr. would not do the last of the series, because I was showing signs of MS. Now after all these years and the symptoms that I have had, (my husband said that I can not walk and chew gum at the same time) things are making sense. Tests have been done for Rumitoid Arthuritist, and I donot see any symptoms for Lupis or Fibr.
I am waiting for MS Nati. to call me back for a MRI appointment, as the local MSS is out of funds. and National said they will pay for the MRI and 1 Dr. visit. So I still am in limbo. But thank you for help if you have anyother ideas, please pass them on I am a sponge,
Giselle
As far as can tell, MS can cause leg pain, but I don't know if it can cause RLS. Seizures can accompany MS, but lupus can also cause seizures and raynauds. But raynauds and RLS can accompany fibromyalgia.
I know this sounds like I'm talking in circles. But I know they look at the overall picture as well as test results. Are you having any joint pain or fatigue?
Here is a site I looked at on CRPS, And what it says about autoimmune diseases and CRPS:
http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/reflex_sympathetic_dystrophy/detail_reflex_sympathetic_dystrophy.htm
"Another theory is that post-injury CRPS (CRPS II) is caused by a triggering of the immune response, which leads to the characteristic inflammatory symptoms of redness, warmth, and swelling in the affected area. CRPS may therefore represent a disruption of the healing process. In all likelihood, CRPS does not have a single cause, but is rather the result of multiple causes that produce similar symptoms."
Keep us posted on what you find out w/ the MRI.
