Hi I'm new here and confused!

I had optic neuritis 2 years ago. It is still unresolved vision is 20/60. diagnosed with uthoffs and babinski response. All Mri's show no lesions with and without contrast. One neuro said yes for MS but could not prescribe meds because he is retiring. he told me to go to a new neuro to get meds, well new neuro won't because there are no lesions. is this a catch 22 situation or what? i have to use a cane most of the time because of weakness in right leg. I have trouble finding the right words to say when speaking. I get electric shocks in face and legs, and my legs twitch all night long. Also very dizzy, heat makes me very sick and so tired all the time. The list goes on and on. Any suggestion?

Lyme disease possibility.  Labcorp tests are worthless.  Get an IGENEX test done.  Repost your entire list of symptoms on Lyme page. No standard doc, Infectious disease doc or specialist is gonna figure this out.  Go to www.immed.org and research Mycoplasmas, and their link to Autoimmune illnesses.  Lyme disease has infectious Mycoplasmas in addition to the Borrelia bacteria.   Waste no time on this.

alot of muscle pain and weakness, right leg is the weakest right now. Headaches alot more since the optic neuritis and my eyes sometimes go wonky, shaking side to side really fast. Sometimes it looks like i'm drunk when trying to walk and i bounce off walls literaly. I never thought of it before because something always hurts somewhere. Last night I looked like a tigger because just standing in one spot my leg muscles were going crazy. My husband decribed it as bouncy. I had a lumbar puncture, no O bands and my IGG index was 0.52 I don't really understand all of it. I did look into it today and the mri's of my spine were done on a 0.35 mri machine is that good or bad?

This is interesting. You say the list of symptoms goes on and on... do you have joint pain? especially in the knees? neck stiffness, headaches? muscle pain and joint pain that moves around?

Hi.
Have you had a Lumbar Puncture? To check for the O=Bands found in MS.

Maybe try to get your proper diagnosis through a LP.

Find a different neuro who is prepared to give you a Lumbar Puncture to get your correct diagnosis, and who is prepared to treat with medication.

Good Luck
Nicola
