I went to the Cancer center about 2 years ago about the low cbc and after 3 more cbcs spread out over afew months they said I might just run low and to take vitamins.
Well this time my pcp is running more tests like xrays and I have an apt w/ the eye doc. next tues. so I guess we'll see. He's also repeating the epstein bar and cbc in 2 wks.
My last apt. he said it might be cfs.
Nicky,
One more question. Was your doctor concerned that your wbc was 2? What did they say about that???
Hi Nicky,
Thanks for responding. It's hard having undiagnosed or untreatable issues. I can relate! It sounds like you do have chronic ebv. Once a person contracts ebv they will carry it for life, so it will always be detectable in a blood test. But for me, my numbers that show a current infection always come back extremely high. I have had numbness and tingling in the past off and on and I do have vision issues. Good luck in finding a diagnosis.

Hi, I have tested poss. for ebv for the last 6years I'm not sure if I have chronic ebv, but I've also had a low wbc. Last week my wbc was 2 and my ebv was poss. once again. I'm wondering if you have had any unexplained symptoms like numbness, tingling,or vision problems. I haven't had any luck getting answers either.Good luck
Nicole
