Help! Autoimmune pancreatitis.

About one and a half years ago I was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis around 3-4 times within a period of only three months. I was also only 17 at the time which the doctors found incredibly unusual of course. I dont drink alcohol and I dont eat bad food too much. Had an MRI Scan that came out normal, No cancer, nothing wrong with the surrounding organs, had colonoscopy and gastroscopy that came out normal too. Only high levels of amylase and pain in the abdomen for two-three days and then back to normal. No raised IgG4 levels either. Doctors suspected AIP and prescribed steroids in case of relapse.

Been fine now for over a year but have been feeling uneasy again in the pancreas again and have had fatty stools (normal color though). Been itching around my fingers, knees and elbows but no yellow skin. Not sure if It's connected? It's not a full blown inflammation this time but I can tell It's not working as it should.

Is it too late to start steroid treatment (I'm 19 now) or wont it have any effect unless It's acute? What are your experiences?

My anxiety is over the roof and the doctors at my hospital are not sure What to do since they've never handled AIP before. Please help!!
