Multiple Unexplained Symptoms

I started a new job 3 mths ago, much less sedentary than previous job. I have a history of migraines & joint swelling (diagnosed as arthritis). I have just been weaned off of steroids after being on them for a month (MD put me on IV Solu-Medrol every 2 hours when I was hospitalized recently for bronchitis; followed by Medrol Dose pack which did not work, followed by prednisone). The side effects of the steroids were intolerable. When I was on them, I felt better and functioned better, but had horrible insomnia and euphoria. Since I have been off of the steroids, the symptoms I have had off and on for the past 3 months have come back with a vengence - ocular migraine at times, blurred vision, dizziness, ataxia, weakness arms and legs, constantly dropping things, mixing up names, mixing up numbers, can't get the right words out of my mouth, and a frequent rash on my face. I am overwhelmed right now - I know I will lose my job tomorrow. Appts with neurologist and rheumatologist are at the end of the month and I realize I cannot function like this any more. Please give me any advice you have. Thank you

Hey Underwater101,Welcome to the forum!
You may be suffering from Leaky Brain Syndrome, a condition caused by
Hyperammonaemia (elevated serum ammonia)
One of the main causes of elevated serum ammonia in other than
hepatic dysfunction cases, is the intake of steroids.
By consuming Alkaline forming foods-which normally are highly recommended for any condition!-are NOT recommended for Leaky Brain Syndrome.  Have this checked out as this condition can cause "Mayhem"
in your brain. It is the Brain and CNS equivalent of the Leaky Gut Syndrome which affects the Digestive and G/I systems.
There are other possibilities but this one stands out.
Take care.
