I went to google under lichens Sclerosis and on the bottom of that 1st page it says Oprah.com community  FIND CARLENA'S LETTER. IT'S ON PAGE 2 - she went to a Homeopathic Doctor.  She said to use SUPER NANO GREEN TREE EXTRACT AND NEEM OIL 3 TIMES A DAY ,  It's suppose to rebuild the tissue of the vulva. I just started and it does relieve it but not a cure.  I had to stop Clobetasol because it was making it worst. Tell your friend to stop it immediately,  Don't worry about what the Doctor says, because my Primary Doctor told me that it will be irriversable if your skin is completely raw.  Mine was raw too until I started using SUPER NANO GREEN TREE EXTRACT AND NEEM OIL
I just want to see if there was any thing new out there.  If you read almost all of the blogs you will read that someone used Aloe Vera.  I also used that too, it soothes it.
Let me know how your friend is.
Oh by the way you said that you only used it a couple times a month.  So did I ----IT WILL GET WORST.  Carlena also states that we should eat orange vegetables, root vegetables to help build up our immune system. ALSO KEEP THE STRESS DOWN. MEDITATE AS YOU APPLY THE OILS.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE, I did not know how many of us have this terrible disease.

GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP ME POSTED IF ANYTHING NEW POPS UP.

I know of no cure.  I have lived with it for 2 years and have a friend who has had it for 4 or 5 years.  I rarely have flare-ups, but when I do, I use clobetasol.  I end up using it 1-2x/month.  She uses it daily.  I wish I could find out more about it, but it does not seem like much research has been done on it.  Clobetasol only SEEMED to aggravate my condition and make it itch worse at first.  After awhile, I was better.  I rarely itch.  My friend has problems, including bleeding daily.  Make sure you have a good gyn who understands it well.  Good luck.
