Undiagnosed Symptoms - Just starting to research the cause of my symptoms

I just turned 40, I don’t drink, don’t smoke, lowered soda/caffeine consumption to 2-3 sodas/cups of coffee a day and eat well.

For the past 3 months I have had a mixture of the following symptoms and cannot find a trigger.  I have had every blood test except RMF, Lyme and West Nile.  All have been negative.  Ibuprofen does not help.  My Dr. doesn’t have any suggestions for further diagnostics or treatment.  I found the ‘tender point’ test for Fibromyalgia but really didn’t fall into that category either.

I am tired of being in pain.  Here are my symptoms:

joint pain
tendon pain (one knee an my shoulders are horrible)
muscle aches (all of my muscles are tight - this has always been a problem)
feverish (skin sensitivity)
headaches ( I take migraine meds before seeing if they turn into full blown migraines)
nausea
eye irritation, glossy, red all of the time
trouble focusing (in terms of my vision)
memory loss
hot flashes before sleeping

Any advice appreciated!
Thanks!

ewford, the stomach and bowel rumbling you mentioned can also be a sign of carcinoid syndrome, check it out on wiki.  You think you're getting rumblies, you ought to hear them squeal when they're dying!

Does your neck crackle, Irratable bowells?  Ankles hurt? Sleeplesness?  Teeth hurt?  cyclical symptoms ( kinda feel ok for a few days, then have a day or two feeling like crap)?
Milk, sugar and carbs make your stomack and bowellsrumble?  excess flatulence?  Chronic headaches like any other you have experienced?

Did you check your Vitamin b12 level? I have the same symptoms except the muscle ones, I have fatigue and migraine as well. I don't drink, smoke or  drink soda. I stopped drinking coffee (1 to 2 a day) but still have the symptoms. Low B12 levels, if left untreated for long time, can cause neurological problems, and I think the shaking sensation is one of them (since it is one of the anxiety symptoms). 2 people in my family have the low b12 level and we all have the same symptoms including the shaking inside our bodies, fatigue, memory loss, nausea, dizziness, low appetite, starving for salt and the list goes on...
Hope this helps. Good luck

The only reliable way to test for the body burden of mercury is doing a urine test after you have taken a chelator such as DMSA.  The DMSA release the mercury in the body and it shows up in the urine.  The problem with mercury and other heavy metals is they go to specific areas of the body such as the brain and do not show up in the blood stream.  I had a urine test but it was done without the DMSA chelator and the level showed up as safe.  There is no safe level of mercury.  It is the most toxic thing other than plutonium.  Google words like mercury detoxification and you can get the information.

I had sympthoms of muscle spasms in my back, dizziness, double vision, bronchittus, tingling pins and needles running up my arm, dead feelings in my fingers and toes, pain in my elbows, pain in my stomach, nausea, more tired than I had ever been in my life only I couldn't sleep.  I had made many trips to the emergency room with these sympthoms but my last trip one doctor suggested I showed signs of MS in my lower body.  They ran  MRI, CAT scans, blood test showed nothing.  My doctor told me it was just old age and I would have to learn to live with it.  They gave me no drugs and no hope so I had to find out what the problem was on my own.  I got on line and google the sympthoms to find out what else could cause these sympthoms.

I found a dentist on line who explains how to detoxify the body of mercury.  Tom McQuire, DDS, a mercury free dentist, had a detoxification program which is suppose to get the mercury out of your body.  You can take certain natural supplements such as vitamin C and detoxify the mercury from you body.  After I started his program within 2 weeks all my sympthoms started going away.  Two years latter I am back to normal and do not have those symphtoms anymore.  I am still taking many of the supplements he recommended because the body needs these things to be healthy.  It was a real job taking all the vitamins and minerals recommended but it worked for me.  I was not able to find everything he recommended but I was taking alot of stuff.  If you are interested in the program you can google his name and order his book on detoxification.  Think the book is about $20.  He gives instruction on how to tolerant test these supplement.

When I realized this was my problem I went to a mercury free dentist and had my teet taken care of.  You can get the mercury out by eating a healthy diet of raw fruits and vegetables which have the vitamins and minerals to detoxify the heavy metals in your body.  The problem is it will take awhile to get enough of these vitamins and minerals in your body by just using diet.  The supplements speed up the process.  Hope you can find the answer.

If you have amalgam(mercury) fillings or a number of root canals check out mercury posioning.  Mercury posioning has sympthoms similiar to autoimmune diseases.  You can get mercury in other ways such as vaccinations, eating the wrong kind of fish and living in an industrial area.  The neurological problems are caused by things in our enviroment that mess up our nervous system.  You get enough of the posions in your body you will get sick.  Diet seems to help in treating these conditions.  One diet which has shown success is the Paleo diet.  Might want to check it out.  Doesn't cost anything to try it.

Did a dr. evaluate you for fibromyalgia?  I know  I looked at the picture of the fibromyalgia pressure points and didn't really know how to go about checking for them until a rheumatologist checked me.

Some of your symptoms sound like fibro, and some sound like lupus.  I would also go ahead and ask forthe rocky mountain and the lymes test.  Did they do an ANA test?
