What's Going On With Me??

I'm having some strange symptoms.  I have little painful lumps growing on a couple of my finger and toe joints. I often get cramps in my hands, legs and feet.  Had thyroidectomy a few years ago for Thyroid Cancer.  Dr. still having trouble adjusting Synthroid.  I'm tired all of the time but get plenty of sleep.  Currently Thyroid levels OK.  Hace seen a Rheumatoligist who ordered a bunch of lab work and x-rays of hands.  Results are not in yet.  PCP did an ANA which was positive, but Rheumatoid factor was negative for RA.  I'm only 54 years old and quite active, so this is really "cramping my style" (no pun intended!).  Anyone have any information, suggestions, etc.?

Thanks for your reply.  I won't know anything from the Rheumatoligist until May 23rd.  I can't take Celebrex, or any other non-steriodal, because of previous stomach surgery.  I've been on Darvocet for several years for arthritis and it doesn't help the pain very much anymore.  I need something stronger but hesitate to go on anything else at this point because I don't want to become dependent.  I'll mention the HPV to my PCP but I doubt very much if that is the cause because I've tested negative in the past and have no reason to have gotten it since then.  I appreciate your comments!

I don't know about the lumps, but I can honestly say I am positive for ANA, negative for Rheumatoid Facotr.  I have lots of pain in my joints and now many muscle spasms, for which I take Celebrex and Methocarbomal.  they help a lot, but the pain pills (Darvocette) work for the rest of the pain.  Has you doc decided whether or not you have Lupus?  I have Lupus (SLE) and Sjogren's Syndrome.  I don't have a clue about your lumps.  I did see a news blip yesterday about a man with HPV that caused lumps to grow alllllllll over him, to the point of making him look like a tree trunk.  So, maybe your doc should do a test for HPV.
