I had pain in my back for years. I found that naproxen sodium, over the counter, helped a lot. It turned out to be my gallbladder after years of suffering.
wow monkey...that really scares me haha. I've had this pain for 3 weeks, and i've still been lifting. I haven't lifted for 2 days now though, and it seems like it's getting just a tiny bit better. I think i'll stop lifting for a couple more days lol
I used to lift lots of weights in the gym and had a similar injury when I was 28. I was silly and ignored it, and kept lifting weights. I ended up having a severe herniation and had surgery in March 2007 and July 2008 at the L4/L5 level. Now, at age 34, I'm grateful that I'm relatively pain free and can sit/walk for more than 10 minutes without being in pain. I often wonder how things would have turned out if I had stopped lifting weights for a few months and let my back heal.
Take it easy on the heavy lifting and rest up your back. Go and see the doctor
You should make an appointment with your family doctor. you might have pulled a muscle in your low back. are you bending your knees when you lift. you have to use proper body mechanics when lifting it could cause the low back pain. just a suggestion.
