Sick After Deep Tissue Massage

I have had  neck and back pain following a car accident a year ago. I have done PT, epidural steroid injection, rhyzotomy, trigger point injections, pain meds .Oh, yeah and the doc punctured my lung during the trigger point inj.  A week ago I had a deep tissue massage for myofascial release. Afterwards I felt really sick and nauseous, sweating profusely, just general all over unwell. I drank tons of water before and after, but this lingered for several days. My PT said I was much more flexible after and thought I should consider going regularly, but I'm hesitant because I was really ill after and spent the next day in bed. What would cause this?
