I stopped working in March after being a hair stylist for 26 years. I've had problems with ulna nerve neuropathy and radial nerve damage in right arm. I have bone spurs on right shoulder rotater cup and I have 2 bulging disk with some degenerative nerrowing. My neck hurts all the time. When I'm leaning forward to type on eye pad or walk with grand baby or just set on couch my neck feels compressed and like my neck can't support my head and very ache. I get migraines in the back of my neck and right shoulder and a sting also around my right shoulder blade at times. Depends on how I hold my arm the pain will travel down my shoulder and arm . It doesn't matter if brushing my teeth, rinsing dishes, folding towels, typing, writing, driving everything makes me have the nerve pain. I am taking 800 mg ibuprofen 2 times daily and sometimes a Valium at night to relax neck and help me sleep. My neurologist prescribed me Gabapentin 600 twice daily but I'm very sensitive to medication so I'm very scared to take this with all the side effects. Can someone please give me some advice. Thank You

Your neck muscles are most probably very tight. Try to massage them and see if they feel better. Wait a couple of days. If that doesn't help, see a doctor.
