Back, Neck (shoulder, clavicle, and throat pain) ... I am a mess

For the last 2 or 3 months I have been experiencing moderate to severe pain in my head, neck, shoulder, clavicle and back.  All the pain is on my right side.  The pain began as a sharp pain in the back of my head on the right side just to the right (my right) of the front/bck center line of my head.  I also felt pain and soreness in my right clavicle.  It currently hurts when I put slight to medium pressure on it.  The pain has progressed down my neck and out to my shoulder.  I feel sharp pains in my shoulder joint.  I also have pain down my back around the shoulder blade area.  At this point I saw my doctor he seems to think it is stress/tension headache, but I am not sure.  He prescribed Dologic Plus which does absolutely nothing to help.

Since this appointment there have been a few new developments.  Occasionally the area in my head that hurst "tingles" like when your foot falls asleep... that tingly, pins and needle feeling.  Now I also have pain in my throat and ear.  This is on the right side a couple of inches to the right (my right) of adams apple.  It is tender to the touch.  Incidentally, I also have pain in my right wrist and knee.  All these symptoms could be unrelated, but I don't know.  No over the counter pain med works, nor does the Dologic he prescribed.  I am concerned because the pain is persistent (everyday), not helped by any OTC pain meds, or the Dologic, and the pain seems to be spreading.  What could this be?  Could I just be falling apart from 43 years of life?  I am 43, overweight (a good bit) and my BP normally runs around (135-140) over (80-93).  I am on diovan for high BP.  I also take prevacid and paxil.

Did you get to the bottom of this issue. I appreciate it is 5 years ago but I am experiencing exactly the same symptoms. Shot in the dark to expect a reply but I am at my wits end and in pain.

Hi,

Get this checked out. I dont want to worry you as I am no professional but sounds to me like something is exerting pressure on a part of your brain - this would explain the collection of symtoms. Again, I am no expert but dont mess around with these symptoms - let me know how you get on, all the best.

One other thing I forgot to mention.  Until recently my vision had been pretty stable.  Not great, but my opthamologist only recommended something like Walmart reading glasses.  As of last night... I can only read my laptop display if it is within a foot or so away... just can't seem to focus....
