Back pain that goes into leg

I'm not really sure how to word my problems so I'll just say it. I've had constant back pain for the passed two weeks. I can barely walk on my right leg because if I do pain will shoot through my back and into my leg. I have trouble sitting, laying down, walking. There have been a couple of times where I hurt so bad that I've started crying. I've been wearing a back brace. I've also been taking an anti-inflammatory and a pain reliever, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. In fact, it seems to be getting worse. I'm scared that I might've really done something to my back. Help of any kind would be greatly appreciated. Please?

Have you seen your doctor about this? I would recommend a visit as this sounds like it could be a herniated disc thati causing sciatic pain down your leg. There are lots of treatment options available to you, you will need an MRI to confirm a diagnosis. Try to keep active, even though it hurts, hopefully your doctor can give you pain meds that make it easier to stay mobile. Don;t lose hope if one treatment method doesn't work, it can be hit and miss until you find what works for you.

If you get any severe numbness or lose bladder or bowel function or control then you need to go to A&E, as it can be a sign of cauda equine syndrome. this isn;t that common, but is VERY serious, so it is important to be aware of.

Would you mind reading my post on atrophy. I guess I did the wrong thing in sitting too much after my injury. What is your advice?

I'd also like to add that the pain is in the lower lumbar region of my back.
