Welcome to the Back and Neck Community. Members are here to provide assistance and support to individuals experiencing symptoms related to possible abnormal conditions of the spine. Advice given is non-professional and is primarily based on personal experiences.
DDD and arthritis are chronic, progressive conditions that can produce significant pain.
Chiropractic treatment can be beneficial, but a good home exercise program can help on a daily basis. Anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen can help, prescription meds such as Celebrex or Relafen can be used as well. If you are under the care of a physician, discuss your treatment options.

I would start with seeing a chiropractor. If the doctor thinks it is necessary for you to have X-rays or an MRI, he/she will send you for them. Also, they can help relieve the pain. There are therapies & exercises that can help with the pain. I should know...I'm currently seeing one - can't wait for my next appointment!
