First off, don't ever do that again. Yes, I have 14 and 16 year old daughters.

You might have a pinched nerve that is causing a small muscle spasm. These kinds of things can happen in many ways, like playing volleyball, tennis, carrying your backpack at school, getting groceries out of the car, sleeping in a bad position, walking the dog and he jerked on the leash, etc.

Find some different ways to stretch the particular area of your shoulder that is bothering you. Try putting your right hand on the back of your neck, then grab your right elbow with your left hand and slowly pull your elbow to the left. There are many other stretches that you may know or can invent.

You might be able to massage the area to release the spasm. But if it doesn't clear up in another day or two, then tell your parents that your shoulder has been bugging you.

And seriously, don't ever smoke that crap again. And I do mean the s word. OK?
