severe sciatica

I have had SEVERE sciatica for over six months. 24 / 7 from full left buttox down through calf. Almost like a lightening bolt. Have had spinal and pelvic MRI with negative results, EMG with undetermined results (pain levels quite high throughout path butt to foot.) Had three rounds of cortizone shots with limited help. Don't know what to try next and feel very scared.

As spinal and pelvic MRI with negative results,so soft tissue injury was possible reason.
Normally,Soft tissue inflammation can lead to pain from full left buttox down through calf ,and everything same as sicatica's symptom.

So it's not really sciatica nerves pain.it is conduct pain due to inflammated soft tissue.

hi alicia, I have suffered with sciatica really bad since a car accident, i know how painful it is? what pain meds are u on?
