Are you required to shut the door hatch? If so, is it considered heavy to you to do so? If this is part of your job performance, well, I would definitely ask your neurosurgeon about this.
Surgery from a neurosurgeon has a lot to do with your symptomatology. Some people have more problems than others. It has to do with your life style, etc.
I truly don't see where P.T. will help your neck. P.T. and steroid injections didn't have any effect on me whatsoever.
P.S. Been there, done that and don't want to do it again, lol.

eventually you will need a c 5-7 fusion.. i had similar problem..went through all the conservative treatments..surgery was not that bad..I guess we all have to jump through the preliminary hoops..good luck
Hi. I have two herniated discs in my neck and degenerative discs from C2-C7. Mine hurt, but not all the time. What does the doctor say? Have you gone to physical therapy? That's usually the first thing they do.
Just don't rush into surgery. I don't think it will incapacitate you, but you might have to live with some pain.
