lower back pain

my lower back has sever pain..had a mri done in 2007..said it was facet  and sciatic nerve,lower lumber..they gave me percosets for the pain..they dont even touch it..what is the safest pain killer to use..and will i need a breakthru pain killer during the mid day?????????

Lyrica is for nerve pain,percocet and other pain meds usually wont help nerve pain.

I have no answers about the pain killers but has your doctor ever said anything to you about having a nerve ablation done for the facet ? I had it done and it helped a whole lot.
