Stabbing pain in fingers

I am a 50 year old female that has started having pain terrible pain in the fingers of both hands.  This started several weeks ago and mainly occurs throughout the night, but is followed by tingling and numbness.  Recent x-rays due show some arthritis, however this pain is fairly recent.

The interesting thing is that approximately the same time I was diagnosed with DVTs in my right calf and put on Xarelto, but yesterday my doctor switched me to Eliquis.

Help please!
