Thoracic Pian

9 days ago I was involved in an car accident. I was stopped behind a car that was turning left on a main road. While I was stopped a Truck crashed into the back of me. Since the accident I have been in so much pain, I had an x-ray of my neck and upper back and the doctor said there is nothing was broken! Diagnoosed me with whiplash. But since then the pain has gotten worse. The pain is in my upper back spine area. It gets worse during the day, only in my upper back area. Its not going down my legs or anything, but my arms do get weak and Im finding it hard to sit, stand, drive and the onlt relief i get is if I lie down!!

I am on a waiting list for a consultant because the pain has become to much to take, but the heatlh service in Ireland isn't the best and the list is long. My question is could all this be muscular or is there something else going on???

Thanks for your advice!!

Since I posted this, the pain has become intermittent, it is sore to cough or sneeze at times. The pain went down my arm and to my ring finger. Again this pain is intermittent. It hurts to bend, cough or even laugh too much. Neck is very weak, and I have a headache the last to days. Some pain in ribs and chest! But Im at a loss as to what is wrong!!!

Anyone with this experience?? Any advise on what could be worng??

Poor you, get a couple more opinions and try a chiropractor for a quick fix. Don't give up, listen to your body.
