back pain in the morning

hi,

I have had really bad back ache every morning more or less for about 8 months
It did go away for a bit when I was given medication from my doctor and then it stopped hurting for two months over the summer. My back feel tight and I can bend over. Its only in the top half of my back where it hurts.

I dont know whether its because of the mattress as its really soft or it could be something else

any help would be great!

With a soft mattress your back and spine tend to adjust to the position when you're sleeping. I'd suggest a firmer mattress especially if you've had it for a long time. Joints can form along the thoracic spine area and cause the pain in your upper back. Sometimes a chiropractor can help too. Best wishes!
