frozen shoulder treatment

Hi has anyone had a frozen shoulder and if so what did you do for it and how did it take you to get over it?
I had a slight injury to my rotator cuff and/or deltoid muscle area (according to my doctor). I have been injured
badly by several PT's so I don't want to go another one. So I am trying to stretch my arm my doing some stretches that my doctor gave me but what is the consensus out there for those of you who have had this. i know it takes a long time to heal. Does going to PT speed it up or if you do stretches at home is that as good?
Any other suggestions?
thanks,
mkh9

Hi there!

Well, management of frozen shoulder would depend on the severity of the condition. While for most cases conservative management with rest, anti-inflammatory medications and physiotherapy to improve muscle strength is advised; interventional/ surgical options may be required in a few cases. With conservative management, it may take a few weeks/ months for the symptoms to resolve depending on the severity. Physiotherapy may help improve the symptoms by working on exercises that would help improve movement and strength and hence seeing a physiotherapist is advisable in the situation.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
