If its the medication causing it then you need to tell him. He would not try to hospitalize you. He would just change you to another medication. But if that's the cause and it continued they would not know why its happenning. Best to talk it over with your psychiatrist and they could decide what steps to take next.

All anti-convulsants in a certain class, Lamictal among them have a warning that they on occassion can cause suicidal ideations. That may or may not be the cause of it but do speak to your psychiatrist about this as soon as possible.
also having real suicidal thoughts which I have never had seriously before, am I just getting sicker, are my meds just not working, whats going on, I am currently on epilim and olanzapine as well as the lamotrigine.
