Can meds other than SSRI's bring on bipolar?

I was taking phentermine for weight loss, ordered over the internet, up until a year ago.  It was after I stopped taking the drug that the onset of my bipolar symptoms became observable.  Knowing that SSRI's can have this effect, I was wondering if the phentermine could have played a role in the onset of my disorder.

I was told by all my doctors to stop my low carb diet because of Lithium and NOT to take ANY diet aids because they can throw me into mania.  So now I eat healthy and exercise. If I have a few extra pounds, so be it...stability is blissful to me!!

Who was that Hollywoood idiot that took some meds and came down with a temporary case of bipolar?  When she sobered up, the bipolar went away.  please.  However, i have heard of people...wait, that's sz and LSD.  There's OTC **** that can make your high horrible, and your down profound.

I'm confused as to why you are talking about phentermine as being an SSRI.
